Invisalign Clear Braces
The Invisalign® Clear Braces treatment consists of a series of clear removable aligner sets that straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. Each aligner is custom-made, using Dr. Frank‘s expertise and Walden Dental’s CEREC 3-D dental imaging system. This technology enables you to view the projected results even before you commit to treatment.
This patented system of clear braces straightens your teeth without the ungainly look and nuisance of conventional metal cemented-on braces. You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. This keeps your teeth clean and avoids demineralization (white spots) on the teeth.
The first set of aligners straightens your teeth into slightly better position. Subsequent aligner sets move your teeth another step closer to the desired final position Dr. Frank has prescribed.
You’ll visit your Invisalign dentist in Austin or Cedar Park about once every 6 weeks to ensure that the procedure is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 6-15 months. The average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 12 and 30. But both will vary from case to case.
Advantages of Invisalign Braces
- More Attractive than Metal Braces – Aligners are transparent, and do not call attention to the fact that you are having your teeth straightened. This is especially beneficial for teens (and adults) who are in situations where personal appearance is important.
- No Dietary Limitations – You remove your Invisalign braces for meals, so you can still have your favorite foods and drinks. But, to avoid getting food particles between your teeth and the aligner, we recommend brushing and flossing before putting the Invisalign back in place.
- Simpler Dental Care – Since the transparent teeth straightener is easy to remove and replace, it promotes regular oral hygiene and dental care. Patients can maintain their normal brushing and flossing routine. And the aligner is easy to clean prior to replacing it in your mouth.
