Mouth Health

Hey! It’s Dr. Frank at Walden Dental and Coronavirus has really had us focus and pay attention to our health and that’s great. The mouth is noting more than a mirror to whether or not we’re healthy or we’re in disease.

Now that we’ve been able to go back to routine care it’s important to know what is the status of our mouth’s health a lot of gum and bone disease that makes us worried about whether or not we’ll have tooth loss can have even a deeper meaning it has an association of knowing whether or not we may be at risk for hearth disease, whether or not we’re suffering from prediabetes and if you have diabetes is it making it more challenging to control? For us as we get older there has been a big scare as far as the susceptibility and frequency of Alzheimer’s disease and there’s markers in our mouths that is able to tell us whether or not we’re more predisposed to that too.

For all of our mothers or expecting mothers there’s a huge implication as far as what is the status of your mouth’s health on whether or not you’re going to have a healthy baby. It’s time to get back to routine care, it’s time to make sure that you’re staying on top of your overall health. Let’s also keep your teeth clean and smiling well. It’s summertime! Let’s enjoy that and let’s put our best face, body, smile, and overall health on the forefront.
